So, the trip there was actually quite lackluster. I was so terrified that I managed to make myself sick the entire night before the trip, and had a mini panic attack on my layover. It was only for my mother and father constantly calming me, and my sister Beth's wonderful anti-anxiety pills that I even got on that plane at all! But my sickness had one thing going for me- by the time I actually got on the plane to Brisbane I was so exhausted from freaking out that I managed to sleep through all but the last three hours of my flight! The couple next to me was very nice, and helped explain what customs was going to be like, and that I didn't really need to worry about anything. The boy next to me tried to flirt with me a little bit, but between me trying not to have a panic attack, missing Bryant, and explaining to him that I do not party, that didn't get very far.
Thankfully I managed to get to Brisbane, although I am still homesick. My apartment is actually really nice, and I have it all to myself until tomorrow, when another American girl will arrive. I'm hoping that she will want to explore the city with me tomorrow, so that if I get lost I will at least get lost with someone else too! Today I managed to get to the Domino's that was about a block from me, but haven't ventured much further than that. However, since I am in need of essential things such as a hair straightener and toilet paper, I'm pretty sure I can't rely on that for very long.
I hope everything is going well at home, I plan on having an Australian SIM card with international calling and texting as soon as I figure out what my address is (hopefully tomorrow). I know you are looking for pictures, and I'll try to oblige as soon as I unearth my camera.

Hello Everyone!
So, Mom and Aunt Kay have insisted that I need a blog for my trip, so here we are! Its about a week before I leave for Australia, and it still doesn't seem quite real. I keep on figuring out that I have stuff that I need to take care of here, and not very much time to do it! I'm certainly going to miss my family and friends, but I'm getting more and more excited to see what living in another country would be like! I fly out on the ninth, so that will probably be an adventure on its own...
